Good Afternoon, Evening, or Morning Steemit family.
My first post about #asparagus is here: https://steemit.com/asparagus/@brockolopolis/utilizing-the-gifts-the-land-already-has-for-us-this-time-asparagus - If any of you know how to make that link look pretty instead of having the whole code, please let me know how!
I wanted to let you know how things were progressing with our asparagus! I wrote about what was happening here with project: asparagus about three weeks ago. I was ultra nervous to cut down the asparagus that had grown last year to ground level. Those pieces are still dead for the few I left in untrimmed. However! We noticed while working on our no-dig garden here:

That we had some growth starting to happen!
No, I'm not talking about all those weeds!!
You'll notice the tall green guys, they're a bit little, so I won't harvest them this year. But if you look lower, there's little white pieces sticking out all around. Once the sun hits them, they start turning green.
A few days past the picture of that asparagus is today :)
This morning I ran out to the patch in the rain with my rubber boots on and snipped off the first two tall ones that I could find. We ate our first asparagus from our home at breakfast this morning. It was fantastic. The picture at the top is proof that I had em. The cherry tomatoes are from our Tiny Tims in the picture bellow. The picture was just taken, so you see we'll have more tomorrow! We're super glad to have gotten the Tiny Tims variety. They seem to be really tough plants, that produce a ton of fruit without getting very large. Also, it was an easy intro for me to meet my buddy @nateonsteemit when his competition he ran caught my wife in the winners circle and he had to plant some of them. I suspect these will become a regular variety for us as the years go by.

Questions or comments, fire away. I'm not proud - if you're reading this next year and wondering "what the heck do I do with these things?" ... ask and I'll respond.
Keep it real Steamits.
