Here it is at last, my first artwork made with AsyncArt:
the Tree of Abundance
What is AsyncArt though?
AsyncArt is a platform on the Ethereum blockchain that allows the creation of programmable layered artworks. Each artwork has a single Master layer that displays a image consisting of other layers and can be changed with the adjustments made in them. Each layer is also their separate artwork can be owned by different people. There are various properties to a layer that you can change like hue, saturation, scale, rotation, position, opacity as you would in photoshop. A layer can also hold multiple pictures that you can switch between in what is called a state change property. The layers can be changed manually by the person who controls the layer, but they can also be made to be triggered by automatic events, like change in the price of bitcoin or the time and date for example. This does open a whole lot of opportunities for making new kind of programmable art. The automatic options are few for now but the Async team is working on adding more of them.

Birth of the Tree
From the start i had the idea of making some kind of Bonsai, as i thought there was something about developing them over time that would work well with Async. I started with making a pile of watercolor sketches of pots and tree trunks, and the foliage. It took me a while before i came up with the final idea of dividing the canopy and giving users the power to change the colors on the leaves themselves. I was contemplating on abundance and years of admiring the trees change their color clicked with me.
I have quite few pictures of trees in my Cloud. this is from last year
I also thought of all the busy people working on their projects and contributing to the arts and how in general that makes the world to look how it is. I was reminded of idea of decentralization that made me get into the blockchain in the first place and the tree would be a symbol of that, power divided among many. I am a seasonal being myself with the arts and in general i love to do different things, so i made a few variation of styles of pots and trunks. I recently got my first VR set and have been slowly learning how to use it for my art and, i had to include that along with watercolors and one made with Windows Paint of course. Only actual oil paints are missing, but i did make a pot with Painter. I am really happy with the result and really loved playing with the adjustments my self. I hope it will be a lot of fun for the new owners as well. Big thanks to AsyncARt, Conlan, Nate and Lisa for making this happen.
Here is how it works
The tree consists of seven layers in total. The Throne, which is the pot, The Sceptre which is the Trunk and Five Crown Fragments which makes the foliage.
The Throne and the Sceptre have three layer states each.
The owner of the Throne layer can choose between a pot made with watercolors, digitally painted one or a ready-made ceramic one. I have a few pots laying around that are waiting for plantings.
The Sceptre has tree trunk states, one made with watercolors, one made with Windows Paint and one made with Tiltbrush in VR.
The five Crown Fragments have each the ability to adjust the hue and saturation to change the color on the leaves on their own. They make some fantastic configurations together and it's just really fun to see what happens. It does cost gas to make the changes, so you have to be careful not to get carried away with the process.
There is currently an auction going on on the Master and all of the layers if you'd like to have a chance of owning a part:

Thanks for checking out my new art, i hope you liked it.
