I am trying to learn new things regularly, and today I continued with a new lecture on social psychology. To be honest, this is very much like popular science, so not on a deep level, but it is still very interesting. And today I enjoyed lessons about how we are heavily influenced (and can also influence others) by paying attention to the surroundings. What do I mean?
When you meet someone or try to sell something...
The study dealt with some people who met someone for the first time. Before the study, they received either a cup of hot coffee or iced coffee. And do you know what? Those who drank warm coffee before the first meeting/impression of the other person normally had warmer feelings and received a better and warmer impression of the person they just met.

How can this knowledge help you sell more products? Have you heard the expression when someone says its "smells fishy?" It doesn't necessarily mean that it smells like fish, but there is a big chance of a rug-pull or something like that (if you use it in the crypto-world). So, if it smells fishy, you are suspicious and very careful.
Now, imagine a fund-raising even in which they added a very tiny amount of fish smell to the room (the guests wouldn't notice, but it is still there). Do you know what happened? They in general donated less money than those guests sitting in a room with a normal smell.
Maybe you thought it didn't matter if you smelled good or bad? Or if the office looks tidy and clean or not? All these things will influence how people will behave with you, around you, and whether they will trust you and believe in you and your product or not!
Take care and let your surroundings help you succeed!
I hope you have found these little examples interesting and that they will help you progress, grow, and make your surroundings work together with you!
