Hey everyone!
It's been a bit over a week since I've been back home now and recovering slowly and catching up on things I've missed and getting back to dm's I wasn't able to respond to. Although I had my phone with me and was still reachable and curating I was trying to keep it to the really important things as the docs were constantly reminding me not to stress. Especially when they found out that I work "online" and figured that's what I was doing all day on the phone. Since stress seemed to be one of the things that could've lead to my recovery going slower and I thought back to the things that occured a few months ago and were really stressful and at the same time unexplainable to anyone not already in the space I figured I'd listen to their advice and try to not work so much while recovering. I've been feeling better and better and glad to be able to be back 'fulltime' with my passion that is this community, ecosystem and technology. :)
One thing I couldn't control, though, was my mind, so while I tried to stay away from Discord, Slacks and other chats I couldn't stay away from thoughts about Hive, it's future and other ideas I'd like to pursue and see if it can bring any value to the platform. Even though those things are still a bit far off as I have a lot to do here with my curation project and witness it felt good to be able to overview everything and see what I could be doing better/more effectively in the near future. I am also glad that while I've been back home I've been able to finalize the next steps of OCD and what we want to be focusing on to bring the most value to Hive and the growth of communities and at the same time I am glad to see how well they have been growing already. I can't wait to see how they will continue evolving, all the new ones that appear and bring value to the platform and make it easier for newcomers to find their right 'people' and connect with them easier and learn everything Hive that way. I think OCD will be able to help these communities along very well but more about that in another post.
I mainly wanted to post this so everyone that isn't in contact with me through chats or our Discord server is aware that I'm back and at the same time take the time to thank everyone for their kind words in my post concerning my health, thank you! I'm gonna stop talking about that now cause that post covered my situation well enough but I also want to take the time to thank the very experienced curator, skilled abuse fighter, amazing artist and incidentally my girlfriend @hiddenblade who helped me and OCD with curation during this difficult situation. Thank you. <3
Now's the time to look forward, a few things I want to mention that I've noticed doing well while I was semi-AFK are the growth of the OnChainArt and Hive Gaming community, the @leofinance community and ecosystem (great job
@khaleelkazi) and of course the games that are springing to life while I was gone, @dcity, @exode and also great to see @splinterlands on Hive now. As a gamer at heart I'll always be interested in checking out blockchain games and will hopefully find the extra time to dive deeper into them soon.
There are a lot of great things happening on our chain and I am very excited to be back and see what the future brings.
PS. I also got a new phone during my hospital stay cause the last one stopped working in more ways than I could endure, thankfully I didn't go hard on getting an expensive one cause the medical bills that followed along with the Steem I lost brought me back down to earth quick. Good news is I'll be able to take some photo's that don't look completely blurred out so maybe I'll post some photography posts soon (the photo from above is from my new camera).
