Here she goes again. It's the middle of the night. She can't sleep because nightmares never stop their sweet torture in her mind. The voices in her head don't quit; the demons don't stop houling; the monsters come out to play..

She stops wearing her seatbelt in the car; and she wasn't counting the pills when she took them. She wasn't trying to kill herself, she just didn't want to feel..

There is no difference between being raped, and being hit by a truck. Except that afterwards, people ask if you enjoyed it.

Allow me to use this medium to discuss the topic sexual abuse. It is a disturbing topic, and I am going to be blunt, so if this is going to be difficult/offensive in some way for you to read, turn back now.

What Sort of Monster?

What sort of monster would force a person to have sexual relations with them? Be it a boy or a girl.. yes, boys get abused too! ... it's dehumanizing. It is a terrible horrible thing to go through. We hear stories about it, we might know someone or other who has been through something like that, but the truth of the matter is that you don't really know. You can never understand exactly what it feels like to be sexually abused, unless you experience it. I wouldn't wish that on my enemy.

Rape, (or sexual abuse rather) damages a person in ways we can't comprehend. Not just physically, but emotionally; it is very destructive. Imagine your body being violated by some uncle or aunt or brother or friend, or whoever. Control is taken from you by force, leaving you lying helpless, all by yourself. What do you think? What can you do? What are you supposed to do? Who do you tell? Who would believe you? How should you feel afterwards?

The rape will tear you in half, but it will not end you. You have to re-live every painful moment. Over and over again.

No Excuse!

And then you have some idiot, come tell you that you wanted it. Or that you weren't dressed appropriately. That it was your fault, you should have known. You shouldn't have been there at that time. You shouldn't have given him/her the time of day. I say BULLSHIT. A rapist has no excuse. You have no right to rape your wife, even though you are married to her! You have no right to abuse your partner or spouse, even though you have had sexual intercourse before! No means fucking NO. How hard is it to understand?

Re-evaluate Your Minds.

Taking advantage of a woman or a man, even more sickening, a child, is wrong in every way. Please do not let the majority convince you that it was that person's fault. rape is wrong. Say no to rape. Let us be self aware, self conscious, and observant in our environment. See something suspicious? Please say so... (to the right person, in the right way) ...you don't know who you might be helping. Also, don't be part of the set of people who stigmatize victims of sexual abuse. Don't make stupid jokes about it, because it is real and it can happen to anyone. Re-evaluate your minds!Love someone back to life with your honesty and your good eye! They may not be aware that you have helped, but it doesn't matter. The little things we do might go a long way.
