I lost my son and barely escaped prison after a cop noted in his report I was an "unsuitable parent" for "not believing in church and teaching my kids to mistrust the government."
Enlightening my children to the dangers governments pose was obviously correct. The proof came when agents crashed through our front door and pointed guns at my children and their mother.
On March 30, 2010, the Williamson County Sheriff's department conducted a felony style raid on my home. The illegal invasion was the result of a faulty and distorted interpretation of a misdemeanor law relating to a video I published on Youtube five days earlier.
The video documented me stinging their sergeant in my online reality show, KopBusters. I set a trap and filmed the dirty cop stealing drug money. Below is the video I posted that triggered the raid.
At the time of the raid, I was a published author and journalist who owned and operated two police watchdog websites: NeverGetBusted.com and KopBusters.com. The search warrant gave police permission to seize all of my journals, cameras, video recordings, photos, and computers. None of the items seized are considered contraband and should have been protected under the First Amendment. Although it was not a drug raid, not surprisingly, the cops found a marijuana cigarette on my nightstand. I was charged with misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana that was later dropped.
The sergeant reported to Child Protective Services he was concerned for my daughter's welfare because she was crying for no reason. Apparently the police academies do not teach S.W.A.T. raids can and will cause children to cry.
The police surrounded my home after I bonded out of jail for the misdemeanors. They were waiting for the District Attorney to determine if Felony Child Endangerment charges would be filed against my wife and I.
Fortunately, the D.A. refused to see an arrest warrant which impeded the cop's attempts to imprison us. The District Attorney stated my kids were "happy and well cared for." I remember wiping the tears out of my wife's eyes after hearing the good news. She wiped mine in return.
Writing this article has returned the tears to my eyes. I'm sure this is some form of healing taking place in my soul but it's very painful at this moment.
A few days later, my former wife and I discussed the raid in a video. Candi reads a poem authored by my daughter while I was in jail. I can't bear to hear it but I'll let you. My daughter, Kenzie, can be seen at the end of the film after Candi recites the heart breaking poem.
