I am currently engaged in a full on Friday extravaganza. Sipping on Chicago’s latest stouts and IPA’s and decided to order some food.
The food in Chicago as well as everywhere I have seen has been getting increasingly more experimental. Most of it is gimmicky, with some of it tasting good..and some not!
Tonight we ordered a Mac N Cheese Pizza. I started out a bit skeptical. Mac N Cheese and pizza probably should be kept separate. However, it was delicious!
Really cheesy bechamel sauce with smooth noodles matched with the well seasoned sauce and doughy crust that had crunchy edges. It was cheese overload but in such a good way. It all meshed really well.
A lot of these new food creations come out are all imagination but rarely are rewarding in execution. But do not skip on the Mac N Cheese pizza if you can find it. I promise that if you love cheese and it’s made with quality ingredients, it will be a new and exciting for your flavor frontier!
