We were out for dinner with the family this evening and went to Letchworth, which seemed pretty busy with people in various restaurants. There are a lot of places to eat there with something for all tastes. There are new Vietnamese and South African restourants that I had not seen before. We went to Cultivo Lounge where we have eaten before with friends. It was new to other family members, but they enjoyed it. On a mid-week evening you can park on the street in the town centre for free.
I had a Beyond cheeseburger which is vegan (including the cheese) with sweet potato fries. It was very nice, but too messy to pick up to eat. The 'cheese' was very runny. To drink I had a Curious Session IPA. The colour has come out a little odd in the photo, but then the light was not great. This is from a brewery in Kent that was new to me. It was very hoppy, but nice, and complimented my chunky burger nicely.
I managed a rich chocolate brownie with ice cream for desert. It was all good value. You have to order everything on your phone via their website, which might have challenged my parents if they had been there without us. My mother struggles with technology. It was not clear if you could order in any other way. The restaurant is quirky with a real mix of old furniture and salvaged industrial lights. I neglected to take any more photos, but when dining with others I am self-conscious about that.
We had a lovely evening and everyone seemed to like the food. They are dog friendly with water and biscuits for your canine friends.
Cheers!
