Zdash seems to be a project aiming to be the best of both worlds with Zcash and Dash.
Zdash is a private implementation of the "Zerocash" protocol forked from [Zcash].
According to https://www.zdash.io/ the Zdash team is focused on the community by giving everyone a say in Zdash, which is like Dash as well. (Amanda B. Johnson has mentioned that she proposed "Dash Detailed" to the Dash community and was approved to be paid by Dash directly.)
So like Dash, but with zero-knowledge and equihash algorithm.
The total suppy is 21,000,000 and the reward halving is every 4 years (same as Bitcoin).
The Zdash team also states:
"We believe there aren't enough currencies out there where the development team listens to the community, where the development team are open for suggestions and discussions."
Which I think is a good point, because just like LTC being a good platform for segwit I think there's a place for all different pojects.. Especially projects like Zdash and even Dash who are willing to give everyone a chance to have a voice in the projects!
