What is Zcash?

Zcash is a cryptocurrency used on a public blockchain like Bitcoin, but the difference is that users have the ability to make their transactions private.

This can be useful for users that want to keep their financial information confidential. There are many benefits of using Zcash, and other cryptocurrencies like Monero especially for large corporations that want to keep their purchasing details private from competitors.

Currently the price of Zcash [ZEC] is above $1000 (which is higher than Bitcoin at around $725), and was over $2,000,000 for 1 Zcash a few days ago, but similar cryptocurrency Monero [XMR] is around $5 and was only 2-3 times that 2 months ago..

The big difference though is Monero's available supply is 13,249,825 and Zcash is around 5,000 (and will go up to 21 million just like Bitcoin) this obviously explains how Zcash can be seen as more valuable right now.

So only the community and time will tell the true value of Zcash, but it definitely is disrupting the crypto-world and is helping take cryptocurrency mainstream!
