Hello everyone!
I am a base jumper that trades crypto for a living, my social account is: @basejumper but I thought I would set up a crypto blog, seeing as I spend most of my day talking about and trading crypto.
...So I quit my job so I could participate in this revolution as a private trader. Businessman turned cryptocurrency advocate.
I am not a financial advisor, and I won't be giving financial advice, the opinions I give are my own opinions, do with that what you will...
I started out trading stocks in 2014, like many, shortly after the release of The Wolf of Wall Street film. The film gave me motivation to learn how to trade. I started a long term portfolio with Hargreaves Lansdown, a UK broker, but after 3 years I had little to show for my efforts. I was also margin traading for some time using Trading 212...I was doing really well, until I over leveraged on a position with no stop loss and liquidated myself over night.
In early 2017 I entered the crypto space, my first purchases were Ethereum and Litecoin, as I only started with a Coinbase account and if I remember, they only had a choice of 5 coins! Not long after, I registered with Kraken and Binance. My first altcoin I bought on Binance was Power Ledger, and I bought a lot of it.
By mid 2017 I was swing trading alt coins (in a bull market this is very easy to do). Like most newbies I made the mistake of thinking the price of Bitcoin was too expensive compared to the low cap alts I could buy with less capital, and ultimately chose not to buy it.
In early 2018 during the crash, I bought my first piece of Bitcoin, when I had my 'light bulb moment'. I used the 2018 bear market to accumulate Bitcoin as well as various alt coins for long term holds, and kept my Bitcoin and Ethereum in cold storage (I couldnt store all of my alts in cold storage as some of the alts were not compatible with the Nano Ledger at the time).
While there was "blood on the streets" and Bitcoin was "Going to zero" I scooped up as much Bitcoin as I was able to afford, including alt coins that were severely under valued (thanks to the media FUD that year).
During the June 2019 retracement, my crypto trading turned from a hobby in to a second career.
By 2021 I was essentially semi-retired. I hope to officially retire in my forties.
Well thats my story guys, the image above is a base jump I did when Bitcoin hit 20k for the second time.
I will link the video to it here:

My posts after this will be mainly crypto related, unless I incorporate crypto into my base jumps.
