Would be interesting to see why/how people got introduced to crypto, their initial thoughts and feelings towards the concept, and what it was that got them to become involved in the space.
For me I had heard of Bitcoin early but had thought of it as nothing, literally nothing. As though some one had some how convinced enough people of an intangible coin that had "value" to sell to a dummy who'll need yet another dummy to buy it from him... Lol, I was the dummy. Later I heard of Bitcoin once again but this time it was through mainstream channels, price range was only $500, and still I thought of it as nothing but saw the potential gains worth gambling on by buying just one. So I looked into it and found it far too confusing to even be bothered... dummy.
After some years one of my hobbies became researching the fringe and all things interesting. So my brother asked me what I new of, Satoshi Nakamoto. At the time, nothing, but two weeks later we were on the phone talking about how to get investing into crypto! From the time he asked me to research Satoshi to now, just under three months, I've become convinced of the blockchain tech and what it offers and also believe we are in the process of a massive shift in the financial structure as we now it which has only just begun. My hobby has become a passion by turning my attention towards this crazy crypto market and I plan to focus on looking for companies/projects looking to accomplish real change.
So... what about you?
