Wow, watching this interview just made me cry⊠I'm so glad I got to witness what Andreas shares here and get to know him from a different side. No, not different, just a little bit more deeply.
If youâre not familiar with Andreas yet (is that even possible??) - he is the number one educator on Bitcoin and the smartest person I know in the crypto space. Whenever I have a question about Bitcoin, I just google it together with his name, and I'll find an (understandable) answer from him.
When you know you've found your calling...
In this interview, he shares his journey from childhood until he got into Bitcoin.
If you donât have time to watch the whole thing, just watch the two minutes from 22:00min on where he explains how he went looking for the consensus mechanism in the Bitcoin code. Youâll see what it looks like when someone finds their calling. I've never seen him get emotional before :)
Andreas Antonopolous getting emotional "over code" ;)
My over-empathetic self can't help but cry along when he cries. It's just that recognition of total and utter truth and authenticity.
What also resonates so deeply with me, is the decision to "stop everything else and only do this from now on.â That's pretty much what I did, maybe though in a less radical way than him.
I didnât have to fire any clients, like he did, because the universe had done that already for me đ. It was actually because it had taken all my clients away, that I had to take a good look at my money and financial future.
And that made me look at our money system and the future of money in general, which finally led me to cryptocurrencies. Once I had found Bitcoin, I couldnât sleep for weeks and decided to fully commit myself to this.
I may not understand Bitcoin half as much as Andreas does code-wise, but I do intuitively understand the personal freedom and economic empowerment it can bring to every human being on the planet. And that is worth committing all my energy to.
