They are a world leading diverse derivatives marketplace, who handle $1 quadrillion/3billion contracts annually (yes big number is big), They provide a market place for buyers and sellers, to trade commodity’s and future contracts.
Why do CME Futures matter for bitcoin?
It’s a regulated market in which Wall Street can gain access. This creates overwhelming FOMO (Fear of missing out), in people who don’t want to miss the bitcoin train. This brings confidence to the bitcoin market in general, and is expected to launch just before the hard fork. We could see a lot of institution money flowing into the crypto scene!
This seems overall very positive for bitcoin,the crypto scene is truly here to stay.
