Googles ban of all crypto advertising may play into the hands of other advertisers. This will divert away a little revenue from google. While it may be for a good reason that google has taken these actions , for example they may not want to be involved in promoting scams and other illegal activity. However, the advertising ban according to the independent (see link below) may have ulterior motives. The ban is set to start this month. Could google really be looking to introduce its own blockchain technology? Could this be its way of stamping out competition before a launch perhaps? Speculation, speculation, speculation ;-)
Well my opinion is I don't think the move is anything sinister by google. At a time when people are concerned about privacy and how their data is handled it would be a bad move by google to do anything underhanded. Only the future will tell what googles ban on crypto advertising will mean for the industry. It will slow growth but I feel a lot of people get their crypto information via youtube videos and crypto forums.
