I am seriously asking myself that question everytime Warren Buffet says something about crypto: Why do we bother?
Sure, he is one of the richest persons to ever walk this planet and may have some influence overall, but there are a lot of people - rich ones - constantly shittalking our great new tech.
So why bother about him so much?
I don't know.
Everyone is freely allowed to hate on new tech and whatnot and that is fine. But you guys need to realize some things:
He has been completely wrong about the outcome of Google and Amazon. Granted not a lot of people saw them becoming this big, but it kind of shows his views on new tech
He has a lot of his investments in big banks like Bank of America a.s.o. So you might wonder why he doesn't like a new Technology that threatens to revolutionize or eradicate the current banking system?
He freely admits he doesn't really understand crypto and just doesn't like them. You know how your friends outside of crypto react to it? "I don't get this thing, isn't it a big bubble?" etc etc.
So basically he seems like your grandpa, that just doesn't understand something like smartphones and therefore hates on it.
Which - again - is totally fine, but we should just stop caring about him until he actually says something useful about crypto, right?
And I know the price drop doesn't actually has something to do with Warren Buffet which is best explained via this tweet from Joseph Young:

But still everytime this happens we read something about FUD and people overreacting to an old man spewing some nonsense about our beloved tech.
Just ignore him already and BTFD!
