Lawmakers and central bankers are wondering whether to intervene to regulate cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin which stands out. The announcement was made by Ewald Nowotny, Member of the Board of Governors of the European Central Bank. "One wonders if lawmakers and central banks should intervene, like China who banned (the use of virtual currencies) by considering them as fraudulent," said the principal at a conference in Florence in Italy.
