I believe that Bitcoin futures will in the long run lead to much higher prices. but there is concern for investors in the GBTC Bitcoin Trust. The trust has been trading at a premium to the Bitcoin it owns. This premium has been as high as 70 percent recently. Bitcoin futures are going to substantially lower this premium. Investors in GBTC may see Bitcoin rising while the fund goes down in value. I have read a lot of opinions about the GBTC premium and I agree that it should be around 10 to 15% max.
