I had always heard scanty information about Bitcoin!
This is hard to believe with the availability of much information on the internet.
I will be talking below of the reasons Steemit is the only way Africa can get the benefits of the Crypto world
It is so interesting that i did a Bs of Computer Science and i had never heard about Cypto currency(for 3 full years!).
We have an education system that does not encourage research and critical thinking,but only encourages memorizing facts.
The education system in Africa is so flawed that an individual can complete school without having any skill/knowledge on any other subjects.
I am lucky to be the exception because i developed a reading culture earlier on.
This reading attitude has always helped me discover new things.
The is an old saying i keep hearing that goes like this
If you want to hide something from an African,put it in writing
This is actually true,it is not an exaggeration folks.
Lets get back to cryto currency.
The little info i heard about bitcoin was that it is illegal.
This wrong information is relayed by media which have no clue of they are talking about!
It is so unfortunate that very many people believe in main stream media!
This media guys just relay information that the majority can believe in.
A lie can be turned into an absolute truth if it is relayed to people several times.
Faith/belief comes from hearing.
All this lies by the media were trashed when i discovered Steemit.
If you remember earlier i told you i read a lot and that is how i got to know about Steemit.
The 2 Reasons Why Steemit in an Entry For Africans into Crypto
1. Its Free Entry to the crypto world.

If you are not an African,you do not know what joy we feel when something is given to us freely!
In Africa and especially my home country Uganda,we have had scores of people lose much money in Online scams.
Steemit being free to participate has come as something really good for Ugandans to test out,since there is no money to be lost!
Ugandans are enterprising folks,this has made some of them lose some huge sums of money to Pyramid and Ponzi Schemes.
Whenever i am sharing the Steemit opportunity to friends,i am asked 2 questions
How much money do i need to join?
How do i withdraw my money?
You can feel the joy they have in their hearts when i tell them its free!
Steeemit being free is an entry point for many Ugandans into crypto.
I personally was never interested in bitcoin because it involved money(at least from the people i heard it from!)
We just need to encourage more people tocome here on Steemit since its free.
2. Free Crypto University
This is the best of all crypto universities in the world.
As i said earlier i had scanty information and interest about bitcoin and crypto at large.
You cannot imagine what i have learned in my last two active months i have been here.
We have professors of crypto here who teach for free.
Most professors jut have so much theory,but the guys here are more than professors!
The guys here teach from life experience(which is the best university of all).
All people who want to learn about crypto just have to click on bitcoin.monero,dash tags and boom ..a lot of different posts about these different coins.
I even learned of the terminologies used here in crypto world
Hodl,FUD.
Steeemit has been a great experience to me so far and i continue to learn more.

Let us all do our best to bring Africa to the crypto community through Steemit.
