First of all, let me say. I don’t own Vechain so I have no vested interest in the token.
What made me think and research however are “results”. When you look at currency coins we know those applications. When you look at “tokens”, do you know those applications, partnerships, strengths and weaknesses?
Let’s look at Q1 2018 Crypto performance below
Does anything stand out? Yes, while most cryptos were losing 25-50% of their value, Vechain was up 20-25%....WHY?
I think we all have to realize that tokens have “real use cases” that can are the future and they are “worth something today”.
Big companies may partner whith them and have. It’s no longer a white paper.
Vechain aims to be a blockchain solutions provider using RFID technology as part of a companies Supply Chain Management needs. This is all to say they make things be more effiecient for companies. Hence you see large manufacturing companies partnering with them.
Walton is another token in this space that has high hopes (no I do not own any). But these companies are “providing value”.
This is why you see Vechain going against the grain in Q1 2018. Their Mainet went live on March 31st.
I truly feel these altcoins with a high value proposition and low price today will move as well as Litecoin, Bitcoin etc....and Central Bankers don’t care about them so much.
That is big reason I like Theta Token so much. It’s not live until Q4 but it’s value to companies, users could really be a game changer in how we look at streaming video which is only getting larger and more with 4K coming.
I am going to look at Walton , Vechain, Ontology and Theta as key tokens that can be quite interesting for many many years (bitcoin or no bitcoin).
