Muhammad Ibrahim, president of the Malaysian National Bank (BNM), said that whether or not crypto currencies are traded in the country depends on whether or not people will accept virtual currencies.
Speaking at the 40th anniversary dinner of the Harvard Business School Graduates Club, BNM President Abraham said that the administration had no decision on crypto currencies and that a free-market stance was being decided where people decided to invest in virtual currency.
Abraham, in his speech to the Malaysian crypto-currency sector, has given some basic principles, basically the crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple, the systems of these units and the processes behind the scenes have to be more transparent. So the people can decide whether they want to invest in crypto-currencies at their will, he said.
