I think historic perspective is crucial at times like this, and we can't fail to do a little zooming out before drawing any conclusions on this matter. I mean, how many times have we been here before? How many times has Bitcoin been declared dead? There is a website even with obituaries for those who are keeping track.
If you ask me, we are seeing manipulation in ways that are designed to shake out everyone who is still trembly at the legs. The volume is not there, so it's obvious to me that It would not take much for a whale or two to shake off the markets the way that it's been done.
Curiously enough, I had a conversation last night with a good friend, and one of the things he said made me smile, even though I suspect he didn't mean to - "I remember the 20 USD bubble for Bitcoin... I was here" - Today this statement is somewhat comical, to think that 20 dollars was something impressive and that when it crashed it destroyed so many hopes along the way.
Imagine if you will, if you had just bought some BTC back then and refused to sell it, simply because you were just stubborn. How would you fare today, even with these markets? And that is precisely the point I'm making here, I think you would be doing just fine.
The idea of HODLing is not easy, but it requires perspective. Truth be told, I might be at a crossroads in my life of peak opportunity and I refuse to not follow my convictions, as painful as it may seem at this exact moment.
At any rate.... I'm not going anywhere and I hope that more people join me in my stubborness.
