The development team behind creature capturing game Ethermon has updated the game with a new adventure mode, new creatures and improved graphics. The update will launch on April 4th at 2PM UTC. The Adventure Mode is a new form of seasonal content that introduces new creatures for a limited time into the game.
Gamers can find 18 Mon classes while playing Adventure Mode. The game introduces six new Ethermon classes into the game, some of them will be replacing existing creatures. Among them is the legendary mon Vaudequin.
Legendary mons are only available for a limited time. Such a rotation lasts for 12 to 16 weeks, or until players caught a minimum of three legendary mons. Therefore a rotation will only end when players caught at least three legendaries and the time limit ended.
Difficult to catch them all
The developers have lowered various drop rates significantly. Now a legendary only has a 0.1% chance to drop. In addition a creature that can evolve twice, the so-called 3-form mons, have a 1.5 percent chance to drop. A 2-form mon has a 5 percent chance to drop. The +1 level stones have also had their drop rate reduces to 2.5 percent, while the +2 level stones have been removed completely.
The fee to go on an adventure hasn't changed. Players still need to pay 15 EMONT or 0.01 ETH.
Ethermon revived by new team
Ethermon Awakening was relaunched in 2019 as a spin-off of the popular Etheremon.com. However, the original developers are no longer involved. The community appointed a new group of developers that works to improve the game. Ethermon Awakening supports the old Ether Monsters and newer ones.
In the game players need to capture little monsters. These monsters vary in type, generation, form and individual powers. Players own these little monsters and are free to trade them. They can also use these monsters in battle, in which players can earn all kinds of rewards. For example, they can do quests, compete in ranked tournaments, practice or start the adventure mode.
Ethermon and interoperability
At the moment the Ether Monsters can’t be used in any other game. Besides, the game also doesn’t use any assets from other developers. Even though gamers can own these little monsters, they can’t be used in other games yet. However, the development team will create an unique game mode which offers interoperability.
The developers behind Ethermon are also – at least to some extend – involved in Chain Guardians. Therefore that will be the first game to will have a collaboration with Ethermon. The developers remain silent about other potential partnerships, even though they do acknowledge it’s a possibility.
