The Sandbox will organize the fourth and final pre-sale next month, signalling the last opportunity to buy virtual land with a ten percent discount. They have divided the pre-sale period into multiple rounds, with the first round starting on August 4th. In addition the team is introducing Premium Land, which are land parcels with a good location that are sold with four exclusive assets included.
During this first round a total of 4536 land will be sold. This number includes 1134 premium land parcels, which are located around four large sizes estates owned by The Sandbox or one of their partners. Strangely, the premium parcels aren't placed around the biggest estate in the middle of the district.
During the fourth and final pre-sale of The Sandbox the smallest and cheapest piece of land is 43 dollars. A premium land costs 100 dollars, while a small estate - which has nine land parcels - is 369 dollars. The most expensive estate during the first round of the fourth pre-sale is a large estate, priced 5288 dollars for 144 pieces of land.
The introduction of premium land is interesting to say the least. The Sandbox just recently introduced a first concept of their travelling system. Players will be able to teleport from one land to a neighboring land, or use a so-called subway system. They can travel from and to designated locations in the world map, and need to travel the last few blocks on foot.
Gamers, investors, and game designers can all acquire a piece of land during the pre-sale. Even the smallest piece of land is sufficient to build a nice game experience. It's advised to register in advance and acquire the needed ETH as well.
What is The Sandbox?
The Sandbox is one of the blockchain-powered virtual worlds currently in development. The beta test will launch later this year, but before that time there will be one more pre-sale. During this pre-sale gamers, businesses and investors can buy virtual land with a discount. You can register now to make sure you’re not missing out.
The virtual world of The Sandbox consists out of lands, and voxels fill up each of those lands. Visually it will remind many gamers of Minecraft, as both games have this Lego-inspired look to them. However, players are able to buy virtual land and implement any form of monetization. These virtual lands can become mini-games, adventures, virtual shops, extensions of actual webshops, a space for social gatherings, and so on.
TSB Gaming is providing free tools for developers, gamers and content creators. Creators can use VoxEdit to make objects. In addition the Game Maker allows users to create interactivity on their virtual land. TSB Gaming will also create a meta gaming experience. Players can for example do daily quests or weekly quests for their guild.
