After the first seconds he started the interview i recognized the wall behind Roger Ver where you can see a web URL called
I said to myself "Not again, please!". Why? Because it generated so much confusion, lost money (even on my side), and hateful discussion. The website changed for the better after that.. but now it's the same situation.. using Bitcoin as brand name instead of Bitcoin Cash. It's obvious if you visit the website the first thing you see is just Bitcoin, no Cash. It's like hidden in a smallprint if you look further down the page.
Risk the money of Bitcoin users to complete a crusade
Months ago i lost real money on the COSS exchange (german article) because i mixed-up BCH with BTC in a transaction and the support didn't helped me to reverse that. One reason for that was my impatience for sure but the other more serious for the whole community is the marketing by Roger Ver in my point of view!
He always reiterates that Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin.. i could tear my hair out everytime when i hear that. Because even if Bitcoin Cash's approach for on chain scaling would be the solution of the future he uses the brand of Bitcoin for the mentioned website. It works like a smoke grenade with dangerous implications for new users and also for people like me in special situations!
From Green to Orange - For more Confusion
If you look back in presentations of Roger Ver he used a green Bitcoin Cash logo. That was fine because you could clearly separate Bitcoin Cash(BCH/BCC) from Bitcoin (BTC). But nowadays you'll see two very similar logos with a different rotation of the "B". My guess is to create the perception it's Bitcoin.. it's same with using brand name..
Why on earth they use a different URL name for their website, instead simply bitcoincash.com?
In my point of view it's simply a marketing war between the two parties, BUT on the shoulders of millions of users worldwide. It's irresponsible to confuse people with different brand names or violate brand names of others.. especially if people losing money because of that, because they make mistakes at exchanges with BCH/BCC and BTC transactions! For me big question arise:
If Bitcoin Cash is the future why don't you use a appropriate URL for your Website?
Why you fuel the confusion among users further with wrong naming? If you believe in Bitcoin Cash, please call it Bitcoin Cash and your website bitcoincash.com.. yes the URL exists but look what you'll find just a plain text which is claiming Bitcoin Cash ist the best Bitcoin.. no fully fledged website like on bitcoin.com!
For me that's pure deception.. like if i market a own produced soft drink under the brand of Coca Cola.. it's simply irresponsible because the users will suffer from that!
A war which slows down further mass adoption
In my point of view these activities
- using foreign brand names
- constant propaganda against Bitcoin (BTC) (and vice versa)
are strange for new people. They ask themselves "What?.. two Bitcoin.. who is the true one? ..i was sure it's just a scam!" It's completely counterproductive. If you have a great product then use your brand name! It's as simple as that! Nobody has to steal the name of others if the product is superior!

Yes also Bitcoin (BTC) has hard challenges to master:
- energy consumption
- scaling with Lightning Network
- centralization in mining camps
- unknown big bag holders
- legalization
- transaction fees
- transaction speed
If i have superior product why on earth i would always name my competitors or even worse put a negative light on them. It's completely unnessesary and let my alarm signals ring. Whenever someone talks down another product while he competes with it.. there is something wrong. Questions arise:
Is the other product maybe such strong competitor that i have no clue how to beat them?
Is the other product maybe better and the competitor so frustrated that he can't resist to put a bad light on it?
We know there is the Lightning Network already in testing phase on the mainnet and it could have a huge impact on cryptocurrencies at all and we are in some kind of bear market currently which could lead to flippening scenarios. Is this the intention?
What if Bitcoin (BTC) starts using a marketing phrase like "Bitcoin is the best Bitcoin Cash!.. fair enough?"
I'm out here.. calming down to see when the next flippening attempt happens in crypto country..
