I just got around to watching two movies about Bitcoin! Posting this as a small review if you will.
As an insider you are probably already familiar with most topics in these documentaries but still there might be some new things to learn about. I didn't know there used to be a Bitcoin exchange on Wall Street for example.
Banking on Bitcoin (2016)
This documentary follows the history of Bitcoin narrated by some of its major players and some journalists/observers. In my opinion the journalists get a little too much screen time I would have preferred to see more insights from Bitcoin insiders but they did get Gavin Andresen at least so that is nice. Good movie overall and with some nice music. My favorite scene was the montage of rising BTC prices and general euphoria in the bitcoin space. Of course, that montage conveniently ends just before the implosion of MT. GOX :)

The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin (2014)
Compared to Banking on Bitcoin, this film was a lot more investigative and felt more like a journey than just a bunch of talking heads. The centerpiece of the movie are the different communities that shaped bitcoin - libertarians/crypto-anarchists, the 'suits' (VC money) and regulators. Many influencers from the Bitcoin space like Erik Voorhees, Brian Armstrong, and others are featured.

Overall I really enjoyed these two films! Of course, the events portrayed are kinda tame compared to what has happened more recently now in 2016 and 2017 - smart contracts, ICO craze, fork wars, decentralized exchanges, cool projects like Steem, etc., I'm sure someone out there is already filming the next Bitcoin movie, there's plenty of material anyway :)
