HDFC Bank bans buying of cryptocurrencies including Bitcoins through its debit or credit cards

Just received a mail from HDFC stating - HDFC Bank Credit, Debit and Prepaid Cards not permitted for purchase/trade of Bitcoins, Crypto currencies and virtual currencies. Will more banks follow this suite in the future? It is extremely disappointing to see banks taking such steps.
