Calling music and podcast lovers everywhere! How would you feel about getting paid to listen to amazing content from all over the world? It’s a bonkers concept, I know… but I thought I would just throw it out there and see if it catches. ;)
I’m being cheeky… obviously everyone (and their pets) would be interested in such a proposition. But did you know that it’s already something you can do? Strap on your headphones and settle in…
It’s Called BITRADIO!
That’s actually the name of both the streaming platform and the native token with which you’ll be rewarded for listening (BRO). It’s available in both web and mobile formats, on all the necessary operating systems… so you’re covered!
Is there anything good available to listen to? I know that’s one of the first questions people should ask… and the answer is ABSOLUTELY! There are literally thousands of stations from around the world, in almost any genre and style you can think of.

Not your cup of tea? Would you rather have some actual tunes to listen to? Okay, here are the most popular POP MUSIC stations.
Or maybe you want to learn more about the crypto universe… search for “Blockchain Radio” and add it to your favourites. It’s one of the stations I put on when I’m working in the kitchen or in the yard. Or if I’m in a business news kind of mood, I throw on the Bloomberg station.
That’s the beauty of BITRADIO: sometimes you can’t be actively searching for content and keeping stuff playing, and you just want to listen uninterrupted. Enter the radio! I know, I know... it seems like an ancient and primitive application in this day and age, but it really does serve a useful purpose.

Yeah: I have a few low-impact instrumental stations on my list that I use as pleasant ambient background noise when I’m doing my mental and creative work in the office.
BITRADIO FOR BETTER PARENTING?
That might be an exaggeration, but I have definitely tried to make music a part of my daughter’s life. So I always keep her in mind when I’m searching for content, and I have found a few stations that she’s been enjoying during our craft and game times. (One interesting gem I found is called “Wargaming.FM”. It has the quirkiest and coolest music I’ve heard in a while. Check it out and let me know what you think!)
The Bitradio token (BRO) has some ground to cover, I’ll admit. It has been struggling to grow-- and there isn’t a lot of activity on the its three participating exchanges (CREX24, C-PATEX and Altmarkets) lately, but it still sits at #2224 on the overall list.
And the developers have expressed their long-term commitment to this project, despite the obvious setbacks over the last year. So I feel pretty good about it. Here are a few more detailed specs from the website, if you care to know more:
And I feel VERY, VERY good about the BITRADIO use case for obvious reasons! I can’t think of another example quite like it. And in a world that has become largely profit-driven and subscription-based, BitRadio is a brilliant and commonsense alternative.
Does it replace something like Spotify or iTunes? Not necessarily, no… not categorically anyway, but it is the perfect supplement to your audio routine. And it’s WAY better because it pays you so I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes your main soundtrack!

Some stations don’t work, and you will run into a few duplicate stations, but you won’t have a problem finding enough great content to keep you busy. I promise. I’ve been at it for a little over a week now and I still find new stations to add to my favourites tab. It all works beautifully.
