And you can trade them on Bittrex

Why I like it better than dtube or dlive

I have zero problems with those sites, they are great, my problem is with steemit rewards only being given out for one week on a video. I make youtube videos that get hits years later, so Dtube is kind of useless for me.

Censorship free?

I think it is more censorship resistant maybe . I had my youtube videos demonetized because I made some conspiracy and drug videos. I think this site could be an alternative for alternative videos. You don't have to be ad friendly because there are no ads. There may be some ban on copyrighted material, I haven't read the fine print and make my own content and don't really care. (Edit) Even though it is on decentralized servers they use AI to weed out copyright violations or child porn.

Some problems with it

Slow, had to hit pause on videos to load more video, like youtube on a bad internet connection 12 years ago.

The reasons for people not on the site to buy tube coins are kind of weak. So far its just to tip creators you like. I don't see the value of the coin going up if that is the only reason someone would buy the coin from an exchange. Steemit has that hook, I buy it to up my SP.

You need a reason to buy a coin people can earn for free, I think they should change up their model, get advertisers to buy ads with tube coins or something. Like advertising free is a novel idea but it may not be sustainable. I guess there are also just people who buy it to speculate on price. There are a small number of coins, maybe if the site gets bigger and bigger they will get more valuable, in a classic bubble scenario.

I am going to try it out for a while see how it goes anyway
