work in progress from "I Thought It Would Be Zombies..." #1
Nothing of too much importance in today's post folks... I'll freely admit that! This is probably the closest I get to a random life blog or daily journal type post. I'm just trying to loosen up some rust as I really haven't been that active lately! Rest assured, I am not one of those "fair weather" Steem blockchain bloggers. I've been on Steem daily at prices ranging from 8 cents to 8 dollars and I'm not going anywhere... I still believe Steem is getting to $80 in the not too far future!
I may be a "fair weather" participant in terms of... well, the actual weather! I've just been going through a bout of malaise and listlessness recently and I really think the onset of the winter season and shorter days has an impact. Likewise some holiday blues, and I'm sure a bit of crypto bear market depression in the mix too. But as the noted thinker T. Swift once penned in a philosophical treatise entitled 1989... I've just got to "shake it off."
My Steem feed has been filled with great people I follow echoing similar positive sentiments about Steem and its future, and like many of them I'm also seeking to acquire as many tokens as I responsibly can while the markets are down. Damn those pesky bills that keep me from going all out! If you can't afford to purchase any at all that's ok, it's still a great time to floor that accelerator! @steevc made a great post recently looking back at his own experiences in the days of 7 cent Steem, and one of the biggest takeaways is the increase in earning potential as activity dwindles in response to the price. If Steem has been helping with immediate financial needs I truly feel for you, but for those with a longer time horizon to play with, these days are golden opportunities to grow on the Steem blockchain. I've got to follow that advice myself... hence this post!
In addition to my scarcity of blog posting, progress on the first issue of "I Thought It Would Be Zombies..." has been slow but I'm still plugging away, as the little teaser header image shows. I'll be sure to add a new Fundition campaign update soon. A big thank you to everyone still donating and motivating me through these times, including the most recent contributions by @cryplectibles, @preparedwombat, and @movievigilante. Thanks folks! Every time a new donation pops up it puts a weight on my shoulders to sit down and do some more work... in a good way! There exists both negative and positive peer pressure and this Fundition campaign is positive all the way, with the added motivation being a big part of the reason I started it... aside from the funding itself of course!
So, humor me as I summarize my rambling in a little actionable list for myself... feel free to use it as well if it aligns with your goals too!
- Get out of bed.
- Get more Steem.
- Post more on Steem. (thereby getting more Steem too...)
- Draw more. (and probably post about it on Steem...)
- Eat chicken nuggets. (this probably is not post worthy)
Alrighty... 10:50 PM and I've accomplished 3 out of 5. Guess I'd better go do a bit of drawing and eating. For the next few months I just have to push that pedal down to the floor, hear the roar of the engine and cruise toward a great destination to come. Eventually there will be spring in the air, in the crypto markets, and in my step as I finish a full comic book issue! If you're reading this then you're already in the car cruising with me and I'm glad for the company... wanna turn on the radio?

I swear I had to Google what album "Shake it Off" was on... I don't know my Swift that much... so don't judge.
Ah what the hell... judge. If it's good enough for The Rock, it's good enough for me!
