As a black person who have witnessed racism at its core, with stories that are too disheartening to share, I have a little advice to the world as we fight Racism together.
But first and especially to we the blacks, I hope we know that hash tags and black status alone will not solve racism? This at best solves one level of racism which is the public display of it. But if this is your only definition of racism, then your definition is faulty.
Racism is systemic, systemic racism is worst than racial slurs and police brutalism, it involves the Visas we are denied the opportunities we can't get on the account of our skin colour, most time this does not cause public outrage nor protest because people don't see how these actions kills us like Floyd. Systemic racism is that which associates blacks with bad, and bad with black, it is that which associates power and beauty with being fair and poverty with being bad, these have been engrained into the system. As black people these must be the type of agitation we fight for, our struggle must not end with mere hash tags. It must go beyond the act but the system upon which these acts are groomed, these must be our agitation even as we keep the memory of George Floyd alive.
