So far, 2 of the 5 workshops that will be taught at the conference have been covered, the first consisted in improving risk management and the importance of diversifying when investing, and the second consisted on pattern recognition when checking the price movements. As we can see, both workshops are related to the topic of investments, and the truth is that most of the workshops in this conference are about this topic. Next, I will continue explaining the next workshop in the list:
- Technical Indicators and How to Use Them: I consider it is necessary to share a definition about this term to avoid prevent any reader from having a doubt about it.
Technical indicator is defined as:
Technical indicators are heuristic or mathematical calculations based on the price, volume, or open interest of a security or contract used by traders who follow technical analysis. Source
It is clear that the proper management of the information that can be obtained through the use of technical indicators is very important to achieve good results when making investments. In this workshop, people will learn to recognize these indicators, and how to make good decisions based on what those indicators are showing.
The best investors who are constantly making transactions are experts in the recognition of these indicators, and while it is true that perfecting this skill requires a lot of practice, with this workshop, people will at least have enough theoretical knowledge to start taking actions in the real world.
One of the most popular activities due to the big volatility of cryptocurrencies is short-term speculation to obtain profits with price differentials. Unlike the stock market in general, where despite making some volatility, the price changes are almost never very abrupt, the cryptocurrency industry is totally different, with potential price changes that easily exceed 10 percents on a daily basis.
If you add to this the fact that many successful cryptocurrency investors publish their good trades on social networks like Twitter, it is totally understandable that there is a growing number of people trying to get similar returns. It is for this reason that so many workshops are focused on informing the public about investment strategies.
