The government of Andhra Pradesh, an Indian state located in the south of the country, announced the conclusion of a strategic partnership agreement with a company engaged in the provision of cybersecurity WISeKey to protect the data of Indian citizens by using blockade technology.
Referring to the huge amount of information stored in databases, and the increasing incidence of cyber crime all over the world, the state announced its intention to protect government data using WISeKey technology based on a blockbuster.
Within the framework of the partnership, it is planned to implement various pilot projects in the field of public administration, as well as in a potentially new area for India - the construction of "smart cities", IoT technology and in-depth training.
According to Andhra Pradesh, the transport commissioner, the government is also planning to introduce the technology of blockade into the transport industry, which will enable the staff to become "one of the advanced states in the world".
Earlier, the government of Andhra Pradesh reported on the consideration of blockade technology for use in the field of land registers. The state is also developing the Valley Vizag - a business infrastructure led by the government of Andhra Pradesh, which aims to use and expand the finteh initiatives in India.
