At the end of 2016, U.S. scientists were scrambling to back up scientific data because they feared the Trump administration would dismantle their databases. Blockchain technology could prevent catastrophic scientific data loss due to government interference, natural disaster or evil haxors. I wondered if anyone was tackling this problem and some quick searching led me to this site: http://www.blockchainforscience.com , but it seems to be mostly vaporware.
