History Repeats: Crypto is the New Dot-Com Craze

I bet if you looked at the current direction of CRYPTO and the BLOCKCHAIN, you would find what has changed was entirely predictable; and better yet: predicted here at CryptoCriterion. Despite the craziness and chaos of the past few months, most of which is attributable to very bad actors and growing pains, the signs in Crypto are actually good. We are seeing more reasoned uses of blockchain emerge. Companies looking to solve problems with real business models, rather than solve their mortgage payments, are becoming almost normal.

Recently we have seen Dock.io, TIM, eBTC, and Qompass to name just a few - rise naturally within their respective areas. Whether or not they represent currencies is yet to be seen, however, each has a broad spectrum business model that would/should/can support a cryptocurrency. It made sense to us to own some of each, just in case. When it comes to eBTC- we KNOW this token will gain, whether or not it will be widely adopted is up to the masses.

As crypto gains traction it is simply inevitable that the old guys like me, only the really serious players (not like me), [I’m referring to the guys who make and break countries and make the world economy work] are going to weigh in. If you are reading and watching you may be noticing the news is changing. You are seeing and hearing more talk of regulation and stabilization, both involuntary and forced forms taking hold. When the people who make this world work, the people who drive the world’s financial exchanges and control every industrial and political sector begin to make their presence (interest) known, their opinions and input will drive crypto. These are the people whose desires become manifest simply because they will it to be so. They have huge spheres of influence. They control the mainstream financial intellectual information networks and they will have a quick effect on crypto. Reason being, they have been watching and evaluating how they use crypto/blockchain to further their interests. The fact that Mark Cuban, Bill Gates and others like them read and comment about crypto is indicative of their class stepping up.

More importantly, Crypto was an important subject at Davos and TEDx this year. That single event will change our world. These men and women were not discussing how to kill crypto. They were not wasting their valuable time talking about a new video game technology. When they move to crypto, they are discussing how to stabilize it so it can be the next evolution in a more efficient world economy. These people will not tolerate the current volatility when they put their resources at risk. Why. Because they never put assets at risk. They rig the game. And in this case, it will be for all our good. The fact that the real money is stalking crypto is good for all of us. They will pick a few winners. (BTC, ETH) Generally, they don’t care which currency works or doesn’t. They care that some work and work well enough to be used in commerce. They will not reinvent the wheel. They won’t chance to piss off the public or harming support for crypto by injecting their own currencies. Although they may introduce many in the coming years. They have nothing to lose by BTC getting to $1mil.

I know I often relate crypto to the .com craze. History repeats. Really. Do you know when the internet/WWW became the last economic revolution that we all live with today? When these same people deemed it sufficiently developed to transition their futures to. And what that means is they jumped in when the users of the internet (common people) existed in enough numbers to have created irreversible dependence. From that point commerce was inevitable. These folks don’t make waves, they ride them.

You are seeing real business come to crypto. These guys don’t give a shit about crypto as an investment. They are not looking for the next crypto that goes from a penny to a pound. They see crypto as a tool, a vehicle to be used to consolidate and make the future of world industry, service, commerce, and politics more efficient. While we see the opportunity to get rich in crypto, these people are rich. They will get richer and more powerful using crypto. And to do that they need to ensure crypto becomes mainstream right now.
