Back in 2018, I've noticed that Asian Investors had caught a ''CryptoFever'', with South Koreans making aggressive investments in blockchain related startups & Cryptocurrencies. It's clear that in 2019, South Korea continues to dominate the Crypto Investment landscape, but that is due to the friendly regulatory stance that the Korean government has towards digital currencies.
So this project, that I've been following since 2018 dubbed Noia Network, is essentially trying to decentralize the internet as a Content Delivery Network. It's an ambitious project that is tech-driven and backed by several big players in the space, the most notable one being Microsoft.
Prior to the South Korean IEO, the Noia Network Team made an announcement disclosing their view points surrounding the best fundraising method to pursue. They've specifically hosted an IEO that is only made accessible to South Korean investors, claiming that this is their main focus market. In an attempt to foster network participation and to sustain healthy market behavior, Noia Network main intend was to reward early community supporters.

While, I personally admit that I think this is an interesting approach, I wonder how this could become a trend whereby Startups would only allow certain regions of the world to partake in early-investors rounds. My friend got to partake, and he seems pretty happy about it, whereas I find myself on the fence. International investors will be able to acquire Noia tokens once the KuCoin Exchange listing is finalized, giving IEO investors a little head start.
I know what it feels like to be a US investors, who are now restricted from partaking from the majority of ICO/IEO. But it's interesting development to segment countries and only allow residents of one particular country to partake, perhaps, South Korea is light years ahead of us. 750ETH was cleared within just mere 15seconds, shows the real appetite of Korean Investors but pretty sure that we've got more Investors sidelined and eager to get their own share of the pie.
