For over a decade now, the search engine preferences of internet users all over the world as being the Almighty Google.

Google has been the gatekeeper of the World Wide Web (WWW) pointing searchers to where they should go online. Because every Internet Users are in Google's search market, the Google Search Engine website google.com becomes the most visited website in the whole wide world.
In 2014, Eli Schwartz a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) contributor on http://searchengineland.com/ conducted a comprehensive survey to discover the search engine preferences of internet users and learn who truly dominates the search market.
ALL HAIL THE KING OF SEARCH MARKET - Google

ABUSE OF THE DOMINANCE IN THE SEARCH MARKET

On the 27 June 2017, the European Commission published a press release on its official website wherein the Union fines Google a sum of €2.42 billion for breaching EU antitrust rules.
The EU claims Google was abusing dominance as a search engine by giving an illegal advantage to own comparison shopping service.
According to the press release, Google uses its search engine result page to direct consumers to another of its product called Google Shopping.
When a consumer enters a query into the Google search engine in relation to which Google's comparison shopping service wants to show results, these are displayed at or near the top of the search results.
Just like every centralized app, the Google search engine developers, and investors became too greedy. They saw their invention as an avenue to amass wealth for themselves.
Fear not, for there is a solution to their greed.
