A little bird once said steemit has to pay about 6 to 9 Steem for every account created on the Blockchain. Now you all might be wondering who's paying those fees for the newbies and why it's taking a while to sign several people up, unfortunately many assumed newbies has more than one active accounts.
Reading @Steemitblog State of Steem August Expansion. and i quote a line from the update:
Growth has been so huge, and across many countries; there are now over 300,000 Steem accounts!
The Maths:
Let us all do the calculations together from a non-techy point of view, if it actually cost say 9 Steems for a new account on the Blockchain and we have 300,000 plus users and about 50,000 approximately pending new signings , means we need 450,000 Steems for this new ones to come on Board.
The critical question here is "Who foots the bills for new SignUps" ; Steemit Inc, Investors or Steemian?
Who paid my 6 or 9 Steem when i signed Up 7 months ago? I sure wouldn't find out but it is a pain in the ass that not all the 300,000 accounts are active making those steem paid for their Blockchain Allocation redundant if i must say and nobody would like the sound of that!
Using other means to sign up like Anonsteem might not work in some developing countries because the individuals might not have Bitcoins or Litecoins to pay for those fresh account that had been pending for days.
SUGGESTION 1
We all know this signup process delay is been resolved, before this upgrade takes effects; is it possible to delegate SP at will solely for signup purpose? By my count some of us could donates 5 SP at least per week/month.
Similarly users can delegate approximately 100 SP which could signup above 20 potential users. This delegated SPs can be paid back in a single post with some interest. It might sound not technically inclined but it is a suggestion that was a inspired by doing something for Steemit which i believe can be pondered on.
I MADE A POST ABOUT WORKING/DOING SOMETHING FOR STEEMIT- YOU CAN CLICK HERE TO CHECK THAT OUT
SUGGESTION 2
Secondly, if i am bringing 10 people on Steemit, could it be possible to get all their desired usernames complied and then the individuals bringing them in Delegates SPs to that cause just to hasten things up a bit?
From the perspective of a Nigerian Blockchain Rookie, using other means like Busy.org could be too confusing and too much of a task for novice and this could make some loose interest. It has happened to me where some of my friends stopped trying when they did not get passkeys, so this also can be looked into.
CONCLUSION
Hopefully the next hardfork addresses many of this which could make going Mainstream Seamless, but before then; let us keep up with @steemitblog for many updates on the interfaces and the state of expansion for the platform.
This are just suggestions for your No-Dev unofficial self proclaimed Steemit Advocate for Steem-Success, Thanks for reading!
