I woke up to some very exciting changes on https://ethermage.net/
I noticed 3 major updates. Firstly, we are officially able to buy the first 5 cards up for sale in EtherMage. If you haven't gotten any cards yet, you can pick up your free cards here! Secondly, a new currency "SGEM" has been introduced. This is a reward currency distributed by EtherMage that can be used to buy cards/packs instead of using Ether. This is a big deal, and I'll go into why in a bit. Lastly, the introduction of the bounty program. You can earn these SGEM buy getting the word out about EtherMage! The rewards are quite generous.
Presale cards
Let's break down the news. First, the presale cards.

Here we can see the least expensive presale card, Gorlav Ulgha, is priced around .09 ETH (~$25). The most expensive presale card, Charz, Moltenfury, is .99 ETH (~275$). Wow, crazy, right? Let me tell you how I'm rationalizing these buys: SGEM
SGEM
SGEM are a supplementary currency to ETH in EtherMage. I'm sure there will be several ways to acquire them, but for now, they are only available through the bounty program and as bonuses to presale cards. 1ETH = 1000 SGEM. So, when you see Gorlav Ulgha priced at .09ETH and you get 90 SGEM with the card, it's like buying the SGEM at-value, and getting the card for free! In other words, if you plan on spending 1ETH on EtherMage in the long run, hell, you might as well get a Charz, Moltenfury out of it!
Bounty Program
I'm very happy to hear about the bounty program for EtherMage because this is a game I have ants in my pants about. I need this game to come out ASAP, and until it does, I check back daily. The bounty program should keep me busy in the meantime, and give me a nice advantage at launch.
