Etheremon is in second place in the ranking of the most popular video games of Ethereum platform (ETH), after CryptoKitties .
Inspired by Pokemon, the game was originally built on the second largest blockchain in the world. However, most of the gameplay will soon be moved to the Zilliqa protocol, according to a company announcement.

Etheremon's developers had to take some extreme measures when gas costs increased exponentially.
"It has become super, super expensive, and we have seen the number of our daily active users fall," Nedrick Ngo said., co-founder and director of business development at CoinDesk Media.
One game out of two Blockchains
The "battles" on the Ethereum Blockchain have been moved to centralized servers. The movement seems to be appreciated, which motivated the company to transfer some of the gameplay to the Zilliqa Blockchain.Nevertheless, the strengths of the game will remain on the initial Blockchain . Zilliqa, also uses sharding as a scalability solution. But, unlike Ethereum, he has incorporated sharding since its inception. This allowed the network to evolve well beyond the speeds currently available on Ethereum.
