If you follow @papa-pepper you will know he is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to homesteading. and since I found him on steemit I have been following along on his journey of self builds homesteading and even contests.
Sometimes while I am reading his post, (yes i can read) I find something that I find really useful and want to put in place for myself.
a few days ago @papa-pepper did a post about reusing broken glass, you can read that post here https://steemit.com/creative/@papa-pepper/using-junk-episode-1-broken-glass
I read and watched the video, then thought to myself, I can do something like that, Now the difference between what he did and what I have done is I used broken plastic.
I am always looking for new things to do with things as I am big into upcycling recycling so after reading @papa-peppers post I knew that I could do something with my junk plastic sheet.
I don't even know where the plastic came from it was just in my yard, So I have had plans to make a fish tank stand, and a lid, this plastic then came into place for the build of the lid to the tank.
I started to make a frame out of some wood that had come from a pallet that I had taken apart while doing another build.
Then I cut the plastic down to take away the odd shape, and sanded down the edges, I then sandwiched the plastic between 4 pieces of wood to make a frame from it, when I made this it was pretty easy, and the plastic came in use.
So thank you @papa-pepper, this bit of plastic would have made it to the plastic bin pile if I had not read your post about junk glass..
I have now got the job of sanding it and painting it to make it look nice before it goes on top of the fish tank.
Thanks @papa-pepper for the gif :D
