Good morning fellow Steemians! Today’s thought is about posting here on Steemit. One of the first things I noticed here is that most posts have pictures to go with them, so I have always tried to upload images relevant to my post.
Some days (like today) I find myself struggling to think of/find a picture that goes well with my post, and it left me wondering “Do I NEED pictures?” In most cases the answer for me is yes, because I’m usually trying to showcase my home area or show the community something I enjoy. Other times, like if I’m telling a story or just posting an opinion piece, Hunting for/trying to take a relevant picture can be daunting and sometimes ends in a kind of “creative block”.(Not posting at all because the lack of “pop” in a post)
What do you think? As original content creators it’s important to put our own flair on each post so that we get noticed, but that doesn’t necessarily mean in photo format. How else do you apply your flair or style to your posts? Do you think not using pictures hurts your content, or can it be an effective way of engaging more readers?
So Steemians, I put the question in your capable hands. Do you prefer to always use pictures? Or maybe just sometimes, as the post dictates?
