Emily's mind was reeling as she stood in her apartment, the phone still clutched in her hand. The voice on the other end of the line had been unmistakable - it was Victor, the vampire who had turned her all those years ago.
She hadn't heard from Victor in decades, and she had assumed that he was long dead. But now, it seemed that he was back, and he was looking for her.
Emily's thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. She hesitated for a moment, wondering who it could be, before cautiously making her way over to answer it.
When she opened the door, she was surprised to see a young woman standing in the hallway. The woman was dressed in a long, black coat, and her eyes seemed to bore into Emily's very soul.
"Can I help you?" Emily asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
The woman smiled, revealing a pair of razor-sharp fangs. "My name is Sabine," she said. "And I have a message for you from Victor."
Emily's heart sank as she realized that Victor had sent someone to fetch her. She knew that she couldn't resist - not now that Victor had found her.
"What's the message?" Emily asked, trying to keep her voice neutral.
Sabine's smile grew wider. "Victor wants to see you," she said. "He has something important to discuss with you."
Emily nodded, knowing that she had no choice. "I'll come with you," she said.
Sabine nodded, and stepped aside to let Emily pass. As Emily walked out of her apartment, she couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What did Victor want from her? And what would happen when she saw him again?
