Emily followed Sabine through the winding streets of the city, her heart pounding in her chest. She had no idea where they were going, or what Victor had planned for her.
As they walked, Sabine seemed to sense Emily's unease. "Don't worry," she said, glancing over her shoulder. "You're safe with me."
Emily raised an eyebrow. "Safe?" she repeated. "You're a vampire, Sabine. I'm not sure that's possible."
Sabine chuckled. "I mean, you're safe from harm," she said. "Victor wants to talk to you, that's all."
Emily nodded, but she couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to it than that. Victor didn't just want to talk to her - he wanted something from her.
After what felt like hours of walking, Sabine finally stopped in front of a large, imposing building. It was an old mansion, with towering spires and turrets that seemed to reach up to the sky.
"This is where Victor is waiting," Sabine said, pushing open the front door.
Emily hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should trust Sabine. But something about the other woman's demeanor put her at ease, and she followed Sabine into the mansion.
The interior of the mansion was just as impressive as the exterior. The walls were lined with cobweb-covered portraits, and the floors creaked beneath Emily's feet.
Sabine led her to a large, dimly lit room at the back of the mansion. The room was filled with shadows, and Emily could sense that Victor was waiting for her.
As she stepped into the room, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Victor, his eyes gleaming with a fierce inner light.
"Emily," he said, his voice low and husky. "It's been a long time."
Emily felt a shiver run down her spine as Victor approached her. She had forgotten how intimidating he could be, how overwhelming his presence was.
"What do you want from me, Victor?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
Victor smiled, revealing his razor-sharp fangs. "I want to show you something," he said. "Something that will change everything."
