Walking to work today, I was bouncing to the music tracks on my cellphone. My collection includes gospel, reggae, R&B, inspirational talks among others. One of the inspirational talks came on and it had me thinking.
Why do we allow others to control our emotions; why do we give persons power over us; why are we always asking "why me?" instead of "how can I make the most of this opportunity?" Yes, every situation that presents itself is an opportunity; an opportunity that will either break or grow us based on the perspective that we take on. I hope that we will always choose to grow.
Whenever we find ourselves in this moment of questions, we should remind ourselves that we are in control and that both good and bad moments don't last forever.
Whenever we find ourselves searching others for our own happiness, our own purpose, it's time for us to take a step back and ask ourselves "what the f#@k are you doing?"
It is at that moment that we need to forcefully take back what belongs to us.
It's time to realise that "This is MY STORY and they are just a page." Stop giving persons and situations power over your life. Today, I challenge you to take back your power.... take back your life!!!
