Just wanted to make a clarification. In a previous post I wrote:
"I was sent to see a GI specialist who was certified by the World Trade Center Health Program. He ended up having to perform a biopsy. He also agreed with my other doc and said I probably had diverticulitis, but for some reason and I can't remember why he needed to do a biopsy on my esophagus instead. Was my throat bleeding? Or probably because the WTC Health Program pays for that but not lower abdominal? Who knows? I don't."
I looked into it. Sorry for inviting you to join in my confusion. Like I thought, I was indeed diagnosed with diverticulitis. The WTC Health Program (WTCHP) was not covering lower abdominal pain at that time, but it is now, because so many of us have the same health issues. Treatment and recovery was almost impossible and required massive doses of both Cipro and Levaquin, because an infection spread to my bloodstream. It was as painful as pancreatitis, if not worse.
Also, my GI specialist (a surgeon) performed the autopsy...oops! I have to stop saying that. I mean, a biopsy on my esophagus, because my throat was bleeding and he knew that one of the Top 3 Cancers among 9/11 Responders is Esophageal Cancer. To be clear, I was also diagnosed with Barret's Esophagus (which is pre-cancer of the esophagus). Unfortunately, the surgeon was not able to remove the pre-cancerous cells, because he said my "insides are a mess." Both he and my ENT confirmed that I have too many lesions and nodules in my mouth, nose and throat due to exposure. This is why we see doctors that are certified by NIOSH and the WTCHP. They not only understand the science, they are trained and they know what to look for.
It is also why former Daily Show host, Jon Stewart fought for us many times over the years. (Thanks Jon!)
I am praying I found out in time and it does not develop into Esophageal Cancer. I have had enough of doctors and Cancer. I am more interested in natural cures and treatment. My videos are about my road to wellness. I don't have any time to focus on being sick! Ain't nobody got time for that.
Thanks for reading!
