I have to say, I'm not looking forward to this trip, but alas we must do it. My wife and I have to go to Ecuador's capital, Quito, for an interview in order to get her residence paperwork completed.
Aside from the fact that we are dealing with crazy weather over here, It's raining in a way that would make Moses worry he ran out of time; the cost of this trip is not something that won't affect our finances deeply. But, what can we do?
It's seven am, we have to travel to Guayaquil first, a three hour drive in horrid dangerous weather, and from there catch the plane to Quito.
As far as I know we are not going to the best of neighborhoods, but on the flip side the process in Quito is supposed to be painless, unlike it's inefficient counterparts in Guayaquil; Who I'm told ask for bribes to process any paperwork. (unconfirmed rumor, but worrying nonetheless)
I will be taking the laptop and attempting to stay posting, to stay journaling as this activity of mine keeps me sane.
That being said, if you follow my antics, I do have some great news. I finished my mini-novel. I stayed possibly way too late two nights in a row using the quiet of the night as an ally to finish the last chapter and, I have to say, I love the ending.
Anyways, I'll be sharing more Chapters later.
Cheers my amigos
