Do you know that old one... "God, give me patience, but fast!"?
Usually, that's how we look when we get aware that we have to be patient with someone/something... I know that I have already written once about the patience, but this time we will dive deeper into the subject... And I would like to dedicate this one to my Steem friend @bradleyarrow... His comment was my inspiration for doing this post :)
If you are a parent, you know the real meaning of patience.... :) When my kid started to walk, I thought that it is the top of patience that parents can experience... How foolish was I... Now, when he is a teenager, now I know the true meaning of patience... :)
I remember the time when I discovered STEEM and when I wrote my introduction post here... I think that I've got around $4-$5 payout on that post... I thought: "If it's like this at the beginning, it would be easy to earn in the future... With writing every day and improving in that..." But, I have received a cold shower very soon... My next few posts were received only a few upvotes, and all of them under 1-2c... That was very discouraging...
Luckily, I have found #SteemSavvy community and they showed and explained to me how things are going on STEEM... What can I expect and what should I do after my first baby steps... That I need a lot of patience and persistence if I want to succeed on Steem.
Some people are new on Steem and don't know how to act on the network... We have to have patience with them and try to show them the things that someone else explained to us in the past... It looks easy when you look at Busy.org or Steemit.com, it's just posts and rewards for them, but it's not just that...
A lot of users on STEEM are not from English speaking countries (me too) and sometimes it is difficult to understand them (us), and we need patience for that. We come from different countries, different cultures and we don't have the same points of view at certain things... We don't have to integrate things that we don't like, but we have to have patience and try to understand others...
Finally, the elephant in the room, the STEEM price! I think that the most patience we have to have with the current price of STEEM... I know that it is low, but hey... It was lower than this... :) On the other side, it was much higher also...
Anyways, there is no too much philosophy about it... The price is PERFECT for accumulation and as we can't do a lot about the price, we can build, engage and curate... and accumulate as many coins and tokens while they are so cheap... Build up your patience until the next move upside!
I think that @jongolson said once that when you start some business you need at least 2 years until you see the first results of your effort and hard work until then. Two years of patience can be too much for some people, but if you want to be a winner, you have to do your best and push hard!
If you are persistent and show up every day by creating, commenting, engaging, it is possible and it will bring fruits in the long run.
