When I see people on Steemit complaining because there is no engagement with their posts I have to throw my head back and chuckle. I have to think that there is more engagement here than on any other blockchain social media site.
Probably.
How the fuck would I know, really? I am on Whaleshares mostly and I try to pop in here every day or so but I can say that I see way more engagement and money here, compared to Whaleshares. I know a lot of the monies are autovotes but still, it all counts in people's pockets and that's what most people are looking for. I can't really blame them for it though.
So really, what is it that you want?
Do you want more comments or is it more votes? If it's more comments, what do you think other people are doing all day? Do you figure that with the maybe three hours they have to sit down and read that they are obliged to read your post and flesh out a meaningful comment? What about the other hundred posts in their feed? Should those people be ignored so that your post can get rewarded and have copious amounts of comments?
I'm just curious.
My wife and I have a mental health pod on Whaleshares and we are so excited to get two comments that it makes me laugh when I see people getting five or ten comments on all their posts and then they tell me that engagement is dead on Steemit
It's definitely not dead. It may be a little slower but there are still a lot of folks out there commenting and interacting. They just can't be everywhere. Use the time to create stronger relationships with the people that are there.
