This post was inspired by some of my new friends here in steemit especially the Filipino community.
I support their advocate in helping other people.
You can check this post about how they donate to Red Cross Philippines.
At the same time I also would like to help in the best way I can and one way for me to do this is by giving advice based on my experience, specifically the work from home industry as that's what I've been doing for the past 3 years before I learned about steemit.
You can check my article here, 3 Jobs From Home Recommended for Beginners for a good start. It's been featured @teamphilippines which I am very grateful of.
So without further ado, let's go with what you came here for :-)
General Freelancing
These sites usually offer freelance jobs. For beginners, it means that most of the jobs here are project based or one time contract. Once you're done, you can look for another job thus giving you flexibility and apply for a job whenever you want.
#1. upwork.com (elance ands odesk combined, probably the most famous)
#2. guru.com
#3. freelancer.com (I saw on a blog before that this is recommended for Filipinos)
#4. raket.ph (for Filipinos only)
#5. fiverr.com (freelancing marketplace where one can buy and sell freelancing services for as low as $5)
#6. fourerr.com (same as fiverr)
Tech
These sites focuses more on the technical side of home base jobs like programming or website development.
#7. toptal.com (for developers and programmers)
#8. jobs.wordpress.net (job board for Wordpress developers)
#9. joomlancers.com (for Joomla developers)
Design
For artists and designers. Logo making, website design are some of the opportunities that you can see on these sites.
#10. 99designs.com
#11. www.designcrowd.com
#12. designhill.com
Bonus!
I saw a post @jerrybanfield about about www.steemj.com. Basically it's a freelancing site/marketplace for Steemit members, isn't that great? I'll review it once I have the time but this is very promising.
This would be my first part as I prefer shorter blogs than longer ones.
On my second part, I'll share the site where I found my job as well as some other tips and additional websites.
As a simple tip, if you have a full time job and wants to venture the home base industry, I strongly suggest to do it on the side first.
